Mission Statement

The mission statement of David Lawhon Appraisal, Inc is to provide timely, accurate, and supportable real estate appraisals. By keeping current with cost guides, multiple listing services, internet data sources, latest appraisal software, personal sales database, and continuing education, the goal of this mission will be fulfilled.

Staff

In 1986, David Lawhon began real estate appraising in Cary, North Carolina. David has more than 22 years of experience in appraising and 10 years as a loan officer with the Farm Credit Services. David grew-up on a tobacco, poultry, and livestock farm in Moore County and attended N.C. State University. In 1972, he graduated with a BS in Biological and Science Engineering.

It was only natural for David to have a passion for agriculture in rural North Carolina. As the appraisal industry continues to evolve, it was natural for his appeal of work to migrate to agricultural farms and commercial assignments.

David is a State-Certified General Real Estate Appraiser. He is a General Associate Member of the Appraisal Institute of the Real Estate Appraisers and is also a Candidate Member of American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers.

David is a member of Raleigh Wake Board of Realtors, Wilmington Area Association of Realtors and the Sanford Board of Realtors. He also possess a NC Real Estate Broker License. David has taken many professional and technical courses related to appraising and has attended numerous seminars over the past 20 years.

David’s wife Ann, of 36 years, is President and Office Manager of David Lawhon Appraisal, Inc. She has 14 years experience in retail banking, 3 years in community property management, and 10 years of managing the appraisal office.
